Confident Kids Child Care & Early Learning
CS supplied the wall protection for a children’s early learning centre, which not only offered excellent impact resistance, its pattern and design were tailored to the client’s precise requirements.
The installation was carried out at the Confident Kids Child Care and Early Learning facility in Salisbury, South Australia. CS’ wall protection range was specified by Flightpath, architects of the newly-constructed centre. Its practical and aesthetic adaptability made it ideal for the project, as the client required the wall protection to carry ‘Australian’ imagery and colour-match the building’s interior décor.
Therefore, in conjunction with CS Australia, which provided artwork and design assistance, Acrovyn by Design® protection was used to create six feature walls in different areas of the centre. These were adorned with antipodean motifs including Kangaroos, Aboriginal art colours and Pink Mulla Mulla wildflowers. The images were sourced from Shutterstock, and in some cases, the images were ‘mirrored’ to create large enough files to achieve good and high-quality prints for the sizeable walls.

For other areas of the building, CS supplied Acrovyn® wall protection. In total, 136m2 of the Folkstone colour sheeting was installed to walls up to 1200mm in height to safeguard against impact and wear and tear. It is easy to clean, completely recyclable and substantial enough to hide scrapes and scuffs in high traffic areas.
Acrovyn® 4000 stick-on corner guards, supplied by CS, were fitted to external corners in high traffic areas throughout the centre. Containing 75mm x 75mm flanges, the Folkestone colour guards were supplied to suit full wall height (2750mm) while others were fitted in 1200mm (matching wall protection sheet height).

The centre’s Acrovyn® wall protection installation took place over three weeks and was completed in September 2019. It’s design and composition has helped create an interior environment that is durable and practical, as well as being colourful and bright enough to engage the imagination of the centre’s young learners.
