#Didyouknow – Solving Block-out Issues with CS Expansion Joint Covers

dgtp_featured_image_460x300Forming a consistent block-out that is perfectly straight can be tricky, but did you know that models from the Construction Specialties Expansion Joint Cover range can be installed over a range of joint widths or over uneven joint widths, whilst still maintaining the same movement capability?

Any of the models in the range that have all the workings taking place within the frames and above the actual joint opening, for example dual gasketed models featuring 30mm deep frames, like the DGTP-200, can be fitted over varying joint widths.

cs_expansion_joint_cover_installation_flexibilityThis helps to take some of the pressure off forming a “perfect” block-out, saving time in the sub-floor preparation and should mean no fettling or adjustment is needed to make the joint covers fit when it comes to installing them, these types of problems can be very costly in both time and money.

The picture on the right illustrates the DGTP-200 being installed over a 35mm joint width and a 58mm joint width.

The technical tables in our brochure provide minimum and maximum joint width values for these types of models, or for more information you can contact our technical team on 01296 652800 or email sales@c-sgroup.co.uk
