A Volunteering Day at Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital
The Tiggywinkles Hospital operates 24/7 to care for sick, injured and orphaned British wildlife. Since its foundation in 1978, it looked after some 200,000 patients.
All animals are treated free of charge and released back to the wild when fully fit. Those that cannot be released are kept at the Hospital, in as natural conditions as possible.
As part of our Good to Give volunteering initiative, a small group of CS employees spent a day at Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital and Visitor Centre in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire.
The CS team got involved in general maintenance tasks, including gardening and painting of exterior walls to keep the hospital grounds looking great. Their hard work certainly paid off, as at the end of the day the team was given a tour of the hospital and got to see some of the fantastic work that the charity carry out for local wildlife.

The hospital’s specialist staff is recognised around the country and worldwide for the pioneering medical treatment of wildlife. They share their expertise with other veterinary facilities, as well as general public through various talks and awareness campaigns.
