Nepean Hospital
Nepean Hospital is a 520-bed hospital located at the base of the picturesque Blue Mountains, and its surrounding suburbs that lie close to the Nepean River. It was first opened in 1860 and has been operating ever since then, providing various services ranging from cardiology, mental health to cancer care in the greater community. Construction Specialties were honoured to be involved in the redevelopment of Nepean Hospital.
Hospitals can be a very hectic and an unpredictable environment. Emergency departments can be rife at times, and there is daily movement of equipment and machinery, meaning staff and patients can cause some damage to the interior of the hospital, leaving dents and cracks in the walls of the corridors. To help reduce any type of damages to the interior design, BVN Architects carefully selected Acrovyn products to be their preferred solution in making sure the interior of the hospital can remain with its integrity.
Throughout the corridors of the hospital, the range of Acrovyn products installed there feature the SM-20N and SM-20MN corner guard, along the corridors there is over 1600 metres of the SCR-48N crash rail and the HRB-10CMN, which is a combination of a handrail and crash rail combined with a ligature resistant feature.
Acrovyn wall protection products installed throughout Nepean Hospital, not only enhances aesthetics of the hospital, but also the products serve its main purpose of offering protection throughout the interior of the hospital and enhance the longevity of the internal space.
