Gallery
PLP Architecture and Ronson Capital Partners recently undertook the redevelopment of a 1960s office building in central London, transforming it into a modern, luxurious residential building. Featuring 55 exclusive apartments, a new townhouse, retail facilities, and resident amenities such as a gym and valet parking.
Design Goals
Concerned about protecting resident’s vehicles, and the underlying structure of the underground car park, PLP Architects specified 200W50 Rubber Crashrails and rubber corner guards for all columns, walls and exposed corners in the car park. Creating a durable, but safe barrier between the cars and the walls.
Solution
For 66 Chiltern Place, CS supplied 130 linear metres of 200W50 Crashrail and 53 Rubber Corner Guards.
The CS Acrovyn 200W50 Crashrail is a 50mm deep, severe duty EPDM rubber crashrail capable of withstanding the toughest knocks. The 200W series crashrail also features a light reflective insert to make it stand out in low light conditions.
CS’ rubber corner guards provide heavy duty protection for vulnerable corners in car parks and offer a softer surface for car doors, preventing dents and chipped paintwork.
CS Acrovyn rubber wall protection profiles have excellent shock-absorbing and weather resistant qualities, making them perfect for car parks such as this.
Results
The building owners have been so happy with the resulting protection package that CS have been invited back to estimate for further protection throughout the car park.
